Mr. Noriaki Oku, Sr. Vice President of Manufacturing, has been appointed as a Petro Rabigh Executive Board Member effective the 20th of March, 2023.
Mr. Oku joined Rabigh Project as a Senior Process Engineer in 2005 and was appointed as the Propylene Oxide Unit Section Head for the initial start-up in Petro Rabigh from 2006 until 2010.
Mr. Oku had joined Sumitomo Chemical in 1993 and had held several positions in Process Technology Laboratory, Petrochemicals Research Laboratory, and Manufacturing. He was appointed as a General Manager of the Planning & Coordination Office in the Petrochemicals & Plastics Sector at Sumitomo Chemical from 2016 until 2020, and then as an Associate Officer in 2020.
Mr. Oku earned a Bachelor's Degree of Chemical Engineering in 1991 and a Master's Degree of Chemical Engineering in 1993 from Kobe University, Japan.
