As Managing Executive Officer of Petrochemicals & Plastics Sector Planning & Coordination Office, Responsible Care, Basic Materials, Industrial Chemicals and Petrochemical Research Laboratory, with a Master Degree in Applied Chemistry, Seiji Takeuchi has over 35 years of experience in the field of petrochemicals and has held a number of executive positions at Sumitomo Chemical Company since 1986.
Takeuchi served as Executive Officer, Associate Officer, General Manager of the Planning & Coordination Office, Petrochemical & Plastic Sector at Sumitomo Chemical from 2015 to 2016. Previously, he served as General Manager of the Rabigh Projects Planning & Coordination Office in 2007. From 2011 to 2014, he was appointed Manager and Senior Technical Advisor of the Process Engineering Department in Petro Rabigh.
Takeuchi joined Sumitomo Chemical in 1986, holding positions in Research and Process Technology, Manufacturing, and Corporate Planning before becoming Manager of the Planning & Coordination Office, Basic Chemicals Sector, in 2004. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1984 and a Master’s Degree in Applied Chemistry from the Graduate School of Applied Chemistry at Tokyo’s Waseda University in 1986.
