Engineer Mohammed A. Al-Omair is a retired executive from Saudi Aramco. His career spanned over 34 years of service, most of which covered direct, leading and executive positions in the hydrocarbon business, particularly in Downstream. From 2012 to 2015, he was the Vice President heading the entire operations of Pipelines, Distribution, and Terminals of Saudi Aramco. This business caters for transporting crude oil, refined products, gas and gas liquids from sources to plants and terminals for domestic and international sales. From 2009 to 2012, he was the Vice President heading the domestic Refineries and NGL Fractionation plants responsible for refining crude oil to supply energy to domestic and international markets. Previously, he held various leadership positions including General Manager of Ras Tanura Refinery; President of Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery (SASREF) in Jubail; President & Managing Director of Motor Oil Hellas refinery and Avin gas stations in Greece; and other managerial positions in Saudi Aramco. Mohammed also served as Board Member in Marafiq (a utility company in Jubail and Yanbu) for seven years; Chairman of Saudi Aramco Exxon Mobil Refinery Company (SAMAREF) in Yanbu; and a Board Member in Saudi Aramco Total Refinery and Petrochemicals Company (SATORP) in Jubail. He also represented Saudi Aramco in Marafiq, Lupref, SEC and Sumid. He currently chairs the Board of Directors for Shamah Autism Center in the Eastern Province.
Mohammed holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals (1981).
