Engineer Othman Al-Ghamdi was appointed Senior Vice President at Saudi Aramco in September 2026.

Engineer Al-Ghamdi holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and a master's degree in business administration from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals in Dhahran.

He joined Saudi Aramco in 1990 and worked across several areas, including operations, engineering, maintenance, and projects, during his 25-year career at Saudi Aramco, the national oil company of Saudi Arabia. During this time, he developed strong competencies, expertise, and leadership skills. In 2004, he became Project Manager and later General Manager of Planning & Technical at Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company, a joint venture among Saudi Aramco, ExxonMobil, and Sinopec in China. In 2015, he was appointed Representative Director of Aramco Asia Korea Limited.

In 2016, he was appointed Representative Director and CEO of S-OIL Corporation. Since July 2019, Mr. Al-Ghamdi has served as Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Ltd. (SAMREF). From January 2021 until August 2026, he served as President and CEO of Petro Rabigh Company.
