Noriaki Oku has been appointed as Petro Rabigh Vice President of Manufacturing effective January 18, 2021.
He joined Rabigh Project as a Senior Process Engineer in 2005 and was appointed as the Propylene Oxide Unit Section Head for the initial startup in Petro Rabigh from 2006 until 2010.
Oku joined Sumitomo Chemical in 1993 and held several positions in Process Technology Laboratory, Petrochemicals Research Laboratory, and Manufacturing; then, he was appointed as a General Manager of the Planning & Coordination Office in the Petrochemicals & Plastics Sector at Sumitomo Chemical from 2016 until 2020, and then appointed as an Associate Officer in 2020.
Noriaki Oku earned a Bachelor's degree of Chemical Engineering in 1991 and a master’s degree of Chemical Engineering in 1993 from Kobe University, Japan.
