Abdulaziz M. Al-Judaimi was appointed Chairman of the Petro Rabigh Board of Directors on February 24, 2015. As Saudi Aramco’s Vice President for Power Systems and a member of Saudi Aramco’s Executive Advisory Committee, he has in excess of 30 years’ experience in the refining and petrochemical industries.
Al-Judaimi joined Saudi Aramco in 1983 upon graduating from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals with a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. He also holds an MBA in Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management.
Al-Judaimi has had numerous successes in establishing and developing new businesses and contributing towards Saudi Aramco’s strategic and commercial goals, having managed businesses in the company’s upstream, mid-stream, and downstream value chains, and held a number of managerial and executive positions, including: President & CEO of Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOC) Holdings; Vice President, Northern Area Oil Operations; Vice President, New Business Development; Vice President, Chemicals; Vice President, Corporate Planning, and Vice President, Power Systems.
He currently serves as Director on the boards of The Fujian Refinery & Petrochemical Company Limited (FREP), Sinopec SenMei Petroleum Company Limited (SSPC), SADARA (Saudi Aramco and The Dow Chemical Company joint venture), and The Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA). He has also served as Chairman of the Board of South Rub’ Al-Khali Company Limited (SRAK), and as Director on the boards of The Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOC), Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures (SAEV) and Lukoil Saudi Arabia Energy Limited (LUKSAR).
