Bassam A. Al-Bokhari is the Vice President of Petro
Rabigh, a position he has held since December 2012. He has 27 years of diverse experience in
Saudi Aramco and its subsidiaries.
As Vice President of Industrial Relations, Al-Bokhari is
responsible for the Company’s Human Resources; Corporate Affairs; Community
& Business Support Services; Materials Supply; and Operational Excellence.
He is also responsible for the Investor Relations and Capital Market Authority
matters. He leads the Company’s Transformation and Sustainability initiative.
He is the Secretary of the Board of Directors’
Nomination, Remuneration and Compensation Committee (NRCC) which oversees,
among other responsibilities, the development and implementation of the
Company’s HR policies and total reward programs.
Al-Bokhari is the Chairman of the Company’s
Sustainability Committee and the Saudi Sustainable Development Association
(under establishment). He is also a Board Member of the Saudi Petroleum
Services Polytechnic (SPSP) and the Higher Institute for Water and Power
Technologies (HIWPT) and chairs the Board Auditing Committees in both
Al-Bokhari started his career in Saudi Aramco’s Ras
Tanura Refinery in 1989 and had 17 years of experience in several positions.
Before joining Petro Rabigh, he worked for SADARA (Saudi Aramco’s Joint Venture
with Dow Chemical Company) in USA and Saudi Arabia.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Management Information
Systems from King Faisal University in 1989 and a master’s degree in business
administration (MBA) from the University of Hull in 2006. He completed the
Saudi Aramco Management Development Program in Washington, D.C. in 2014.
