Probing Challenges in Middle East Petrotech Expo 2010

As part of its role as an emerging leader in the regional petrochemical industry,
Petro Rabigh has recently sponsored the Middle East Petrotech 2010 Conference and
Exhibition that was held between May 23 and 26 at the Bahrain International Exhibition
Centre under the theme of “Challenges faced by the downstream sector in the areas
of finance, market changes and technology”.
About 2,000 delegates and visitors participated in the Petrotech 2010, among which
was a number of Petro Rabigh engineers who attended the four days Conference and
Exhibition where various conference topics and about 70 cutting-edge technical presentations
were delivered, exploring issues relating to synergies between the refining and
petrochemical sectors, and the technology, management, equipment, safety, health
and environment, manufacturing and economy of refining and petrochemicals.
The conference also featured keynote and plenary sessions which assembled high profile
executives and technical experts from refining and marketing organizations worldwide,
as well as representatives from associated industries, who addressed current issues
of widespread importance to petrochemical and refining industry.
“This semiannual Middle East Petrotech is a regional major affair that brings together
key decision makers in the fields of Oil and Petrochemical Industry, an arena where
we positions ourselves as an immerging globally recognized petrochemical leader.
We are represented in this event on a senior level by our Engineering VP, Abdulaziz
Mutwalli, who is a member of Petrotech 2010 Executive committee”, Said Osama Fakieh,
HR and Corporate Affairs VP.
Along with Petro Rabigh, a number of companies exhibited at Petrotech 2010, e.g.
Saudi Aramco, BAPCO, GPIC, Exxon Mobil, Dow Chemical Co., Kuwait National Petroleum
Corporation, Qatar Petroleum. The Petro Rabigh stand was visited by a number of
CEOs, corporate executives and local officials in addition to the large number of
conference delegates and exhibition visitors who were introduced to Petro Rabigh
various products and to the significant role it plays in the regional economy. |
