MOTASSIM A. AL-MA’ASHOUQ

Motassim A. Al-Ma’ashouq is Saudi
Aramco’s Treasurer. He started his career with Saudi Aramco in the Corporate Planning
Organization in 1984 working in the Business Analysis Group mainly in the Oil Market
Analysis area. In February 1996, he was appointed as Vice President of Corporate
Planning and Board Director of Petron Corporation (Saudi Aramco’s joint venture
in the Philippines). In 1998, he assumed the position of Petron’s Vice President
of Marketing. In 1999, Al-Ma’ashouq was appointed as President & CEO of
the Saudi Arabian Lubricating Oil Company (Petrolube) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In
September 2000, he returned to Petron Corporation in the Philippines as President
& CEO. From 2001 to 2003, he also served as the Chairman of the Philippines
Institute of Petroleum, an industry association representing the oil companies in
the Philippines. Al-Ma’ashouq joined the Treasury Organization in 2003 and went
on an
assignment with JP Morgan Bank in London, UK in 2004. In 2005, he was elected
as Saudi Aramco Treasurer. He was also elected as Petro Rabigh Board member and
as Chairman of its Audit Committee and the Nomination, Remuneration and Compensation
Committee. Mr.
Al-Ma’ashouq is a graduate of the University of London with a Master’s
degree in Economics. He also completed the Executive Program at Stanford University
in 1999.
